Our Doctors

Jane Brunt, DVM

Dr. Jane Brunt, founder of CHAT, is the pioneer of feline exclusive practice in Maryland. She received her DVM in 1980 from Kansas State University, and has always advocated the necessity of an outstanding facility and staff dedicated to practicing the highest quality of cats only care and medicine. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Feline Medicine and is a Past-President of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association.  A national advisor on feline medicine, she is also an active supporter of local, state, and national feline organizations, especially of the new generation of veterinary professionals.

 


 

 Gayle Sternefeld, DVM
 Dr. Sternefeld is a graduate of Cornell University College of  Veterinary Medicine. A born and bred New York City resident,  Dr. Sternefeld has transplanted her talents as a doctor and a  visual artist to CHAT where she has been a member of the  CHAT family since 1997. Of course she has her own adorable  kitties, Neville and Oscar.

 

 

 


Elizabeth Cottrell, DVM

Dr. Cottrell received her degree in Animal Science from Rutgers University in her home state of New Jersey. She continued her education at the University of Illinois where she earned her DVM with high honors in 2008. Her love of cats brought her to CHAT where she enjoys working with the patients and clients. Her special interests and skills here at CHAT include internal medicine and ultrasound imaging. She enjoys tennis, kayaking, hiking and spending time with her husband and four cats-Noah, Misty, Jack and Rupert.


  


 

Lynda Duckett, DVM

Dr. Duckett graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. After six years of working with both dogs and cats, her strong interest in feline wellness care and medicine drove her to  pursue a career in feline only practice.  Outside of work she enjoys hiking, traveling, detailing cars, and spending time with her husband, her cat (Little Foot) and her two dogs (Willow and Gunnar).
